Power BI Licensing
Desktop Version – Free
This Power BI Licence is Ideal to get started on building dashboards for personal use.
You can explore your data wherever it is—in the cloud or on-premises—including big data sources such as Hadoop and Spark. With connections to hundreds of sources which are constantly growing, Power BI Desktop lets you draw deep insights for a broad range of scenarios.
Clean, transform and mash up data from multiple sources—in a few clicks. If you’re familiar with Excel, you’ll feel at home in Power BI.

Power BI Pro – £8.20 per user per month
Once you have built something that you want to share with other users then you will need this licence.
Please note that some Office 365 plans include a PowerBI Pro licence, you can review the plans online.
Power BI Premium
If your audience is widespread then this Power BI licence lets you distribute dashboards, reports, and other content broadly, without purchasing individual licenses for each recipient.
Power BI Premium has a calculator for you to add in your user numbers and currency, you may need to press the reset button before you begin.
